Dear Parents,

We are in the second week of Advent and students have been learning about the Advent wreath, pink and purple candles and the Jesse Tree. Conversations have included hope, peace, joy and love.

Parents/families are invited to join us for a Recognition Assembly at 10 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 19th in the church. We will be recognizing 4 achievement categories: 1st Honors, 2nd Honors, Merit and Mastery. Every student will receive a certificate signed by the teacher and principal, followed by the singing of Christmas carols!

Friday, Dec. 22nd, is the last day before Winter Recess. Each child may each bring one item from their Manger to be blessed by Fr. Aaron. These activities are wonderful opportunities for our students to get to know Fr. Aaron and to feel comfortable with our School Chaplain!

Tomorrow, Friday 12/15, is dress down day for $1.

Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 3rd. Please note that not all schools follow the same schedule. There will be no school on Tuesday, January 2nd.

A simple children’s prayer…

Dear Jesus, receive me also on this day and hear my morning prayer. Bless my parents, teachers, and all those who love and care for me. Bless me, also, and protect me from danger and evil. Give me strength to be truthful, honest, kind, and helpful to others.

Best regards,

Dr. Pauly

Dear Parents,

The Christmas Bazaar was a wonderful community event and the pancake breakfast with Kirsch syrup was amazing. Grateful for Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Beitz, our 7th-grade students and parents! Kudos to Mrs. Griffis and Mrs. Russo for coordinating everything with the vendors and activities at the Bazaar! There were 18 vendors, activities for children, food, a cakewalk, and Santa!

Santa’s Secret Shop was a success as you probably realized from the volume of packages that went home! Mrs. Acker shopped throughout the year for bargains and stored the gifts until we were ready for the next year! If you want to be Chairperson next year, contact Cindy at 716-652-5855. She will assist so you will have lots of support!

There will be a school Mass for the Feast of Immaculate Conception tomorrow at 9:15. Awards will be given to three students who won the “Keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest.  Report cards will be sent home with students on Monday, December 11th.

Kindergarten enrollment for September is filling fast! If you haven’t sent your registration to the office, now is the time. We will host one more Open House during Catholic Schools Week in January. Personal tours are available upon request.

Reminders for the calendar:

  • 12/11 – Report Cards sent home with students
  • 12/12- Christmas Program for Band, Choir, grades K-3 and 8. Participants should arrive at 5:45 pm and the program will start promptly at 6:15 pm.
