About Mrs. McKay
Hello ICS family
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.
I am orginally from Hamburg and still reside there with my son, AJ.
After finishing Hamburg High School, I graduate from St. Bonaventure University in 2003 with a Teaching degree and again in 2005 with a Counseling degree.
Once a Bulldog always a Bulldog
This will be my third year at ICS.
I can’t wait to help the students here explore all the different technology software and hardware that we have available to us .
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
All current students have their own email and password. Their email is the first letter of their first name, their last name then the year they finish 8th grade followed by @icschoolea.org.
For example: A Kindergartener whose name is Susie Jones, their email is [email protected]. If you have further questions about the emails please email me.
For the Google Classroom Meets, you need any computer that has internet access, a camera and a microphone. Eventhough we use Chromebooks at school, what you use at home DOES NOT need to be a Chromebook.
If there are any questions I will be having my Technology classes with the students and you can ask questions then or email me at [email protected]. I will respond to all inquiries as fast as I can.
Grades K – 3 during distance learning will continue to work with their Reading websites. Recently they received their Teach Your Monster to read login information and the students are flurishing and enjoying building their Reading skills while still playing a game. We have some very interesting little monsters out there.
Grades 4 – 8 will be given typing lessons to work on and small projects to complete. I will be incorporating their core courses so it is linked to what they are learning with their other teachers.
These are the websites that we use in technology class for different activities. These are all free and can be used at home. Some of these sites require login information and the students should have that information. At no time should you have to pay for a subscription.
Sites to help you study – search a topic and there are questions to help you study various topics.
