About Mrs. Norcia
Hi! I have been teaching here at Immaculate Conception School for 30 years! All of my teaching years have been here. I love teaching here at ICS! I have grown up in East Aurora, too. I have 3 kids ranging from 17 to 26 years of age. I have a very busy teaching schedule! I teach Religion, ELA, and Social Studies for Grade 5. Also I teach Spanish to grades 6, 7 and 8!
Welcome to my class! I use The New York State Core Curriculum in my teaching. This year the students will begin by exploring Human Rights themes through reading articles from The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. What are Human Rights? Why do we have them, and how are they protected? Later the students and I will read the novel Eperanza Rising to further our understanding of Human Rights. In addition to these topics, we will be discussing The Western Hemisphere,The United States, Canada, and Latin America. We may even learn some Spanish!
Looking forward to great year!
Thanks, Mrs. Norcia

One of our classmates wrote a beautiful Valentine’s Day song! Mr Colton came into our classroom and accompanied him with his guitar! It was a lot of fun for all! We have such a talented class!
