Welcome to the Health Office Page!
The East Aurora School district provides health services to Immaculate Conception School.
The school nurse administers first aid and cares for ill or injured children until the parent or guardian can be reached. No child is allowed to go home unless a parent/guardian or designated alternate contact person can be reached.
In addition, the school nurse maintains a health record for each student. Mandatory NYS screenings are performed for appropriate grade levels.
Physical exams are required for new students to the district as well as those students in Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grade, new students, and those participating in sports. Physicals may be completed by the student’s personal physician or, if the parent requests, by the school physician. Our school district physician is Dr. Jerry Lauria of Western New York Pediatrics group.
No medication (prescription or over-the-counter) may be administered to students without written permission from a personal physician. All medication must be brought to the school by a parent in the original container.
An Emergency Automated External Defibrillator is located on the first floor near the Main Office. The school nurse and staff members have been trained in its use.
When sending in desserts or other food items for the classroom, please make sure they are nut-free items.
